Happy Checklist Day!  Checklists are a helpful way for many of us to stay organized.  The first documented use of a checklist was in 1935 as a result of an airplane accident.

In managing our workforce and forecsting processes, organized checklists for daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, special event, and holiday activities can assist in allowing us to refine our processes.  The following items can be included on checklists:

  • Post analysis of prior results so that forecasts, processes and decision-making are continually improved.
  • Commuication channels – include any department or group that will influence the volume of contacts, what the contacters are requesting or how the contacts will be handled.  This often includes Sales, Marketing, Operations, Legal, HR, Fulfillment, IT, Telecommunications.
  • Information to be gathered and/or shared
  • Activities with due dates

Keep the checklists current and accessible!
